ABOUT SOFIA

Born in Malmö 1983. Based in Helsingborg, South of Sweden, but travel for work all over Europe.

Full time freelance Makeup Artist and Hair Stylist since 2014. I do makeup, hairstyling, and sometimes styling and costume for photoshoots and film productions, mainly for commercials, advertising and fashion.

Specialized in natural "no makeup" makeup - discreet makeup that looks good in photos and on film - as well as beauty makeup for fashion, e-commerce, lifestyle, sport and outdoor shoots.

Hairstylist working with all hair types - from simpler to more advanced styling. I'm not a hairdresser, but after courses in cutting techniques for both straight and textured hair, I gladly cut longer hair.

I work in ALL environments and LOVE the diversity of my work! One day I may find myself in a studio and the next out on location - whether it's in an urban environment or out in nature.

For me, it's important that models, actors and extras feel safe and comfortable "in my chair" - regardless of age, background, and previous experience of makeup, photoshoots and productions. It pleases me that I often get to hear that I'm "good with people", "a joy to work with", "hands on", gentle when applying makeup and bring calmness to shoots.

I switched careers and started freelancing in my 30's, so besides my makeup work, I have a Master's in International Migration and Ethnic Relations and previous work experience in project management, coordination, operational responsibility and social work within the human rights field - mainly with women, children and youth, both in Sweden and abroad.
